Video will be available shortly

Lexington police issue a warning after scam artists target elderly people.

Police say the scam artists either pose as an employee of a utility company or distract a victim by offering repair or landscaping services. Once inside, police say the suspects steal items from the home.

The suspects are men and have been seen driving a grey pickup truck or a silver sedan.

Police are urging people to use caution when people come to their homes. If you are uncertain about someone, ask to see identification before you allow anyone inside your home.

If you have been targeted or have any information, please call Lexington police at (859) 256-3700.
