Police Make Disturbing Find During Meth Bust

Posted: Thu 11:24 PM, May 10, 2007

Police uncovered an active meth lab in an out building outside a home in Southern Madison County. But they say what is even more unsettling is who they found living just a few hundred feet from the hazardous materials.

Officials say when they arrested Christopher L. Thomas, 36, they found his two children ages 13 and 11 in a home nearby on Wilson Lane. Investigators say the 13 year old boy had meth in his system. The test results have not come back on the 11 year old girl.

Thomas pleaded not guilty Thursday to 7 different charges including endangering the welfare of a minor and manufacturing meth.
