Community Grieves Murder of Mother and Her Two Children

A community is grieving the loss of Jennifer, Shannah and Marissa Ison Friday night.

Among the people grieving in Carter County is an elementary school that lost a star student.

At Heritage Elementary School there are black ribbons on the doors to stand in remembrance of the lives lost.

Just hours before they were all killed, Shannah's mother and younger sister Marissa visited the school.

But how does one explain the death of a ten year old and her family to classmates friends?

So far no one has been arrested and family members want answers now as their attention shifts to the visitation and funeral at the Grayson Funeral Home.

Visitation for Jennifer, Shannah and Marissa Ison will be Monday from five to nine at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson and the funeral will take place there Tuesday at eleven.
