Traffic Signals Crash on Lexington Road Causing Major Traffic

By: Jermont Terry Email

Police say a warped wooden pole brought several traffic signals crashing into the ground at the Nicholasville Rd. overpass at New Circle.

We're also told one of the traffic signals crashed into one woman's windshield sending glass into her hair, but luckily she was not injured.

Police spent much of Monday night redirecting traffic as utility workers fixed the pole. Utility workers wanted to get the traffic signal back up and running for the Tuesday morning traffic rush.

The road had to be shut down for some time while repairs were being made, but the road is now back open.
