Kentucky State Police report 32 year old Pamela L. Thurman was struck and killed by a pickup driven by 23-year old Brent T. Bradley; both from Morehead.
Police say Bradley swerved to avoid hitting Thurman but struck her with the passenger side of his truck. Thurman was knocked unconscious and the impact threw her into a ditch on the other side of the highway.
Thurman was air lifted to the UK Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead by Fayette County Coroner Miles White. The incident remains under investigation by state police.
