High-Profile Murder Trial Begins

Jury selection is underway in the trial of a Mercer County man accused of murder.

Police say James Crews shot and killed Darrin Maddox during a robbery more than two years ago. Maddox was the night watchman at the Kentucky Burley Tobacco Warehouse in Harrodsburg.

The trial was scheduled to begin last September, but was postponed when a key defense witness was injured in a car crash and could not testify.
