Lexington Paramedic Honored

A Lexington paramedic has been honored as the EMS provider of the year.

Lt. Ray Williams was honored Monday for his dedication to the citizens of Fayette County. His peers selected him as the winner.

Williams is an 18-year veteran of the Lexington Fire Department and has been a paramedic since 1993. He says he got his start in the fire service in 1980 as a volunteer in Georgetown.

Williams says the key to his job to treat every patient like a family member.
