Voters Begin Casting Ballots

Video will be available shortly

Voters are out casting their ballots across the state. Today is primary election day in Kentucky.

Polls opened at six this morning, and will stay open until six tonight.

Secretary of State Trey Grayson says he believes there will only be about a 15% voter turnout at the polls today.
Grayson says they're expecting such a low turnout partly because people aren't as interested in politics, and because there are so many candidates to choose from.

To win the primary, a candidate for governor has to win 40 percent of the vote.
If no one gets 40 percent, the top two vote-getters will have a runoff election on June 26th.
