Print

A unique automobile first built in Lexington in 1909 made news across the nation when just a few months after the first one was built it took honors in a national endurance race against the best cars built in America.

The Lexington History Museum will host one of two dozen or so remaining Lexingtons at 6:00 p.m., Thursday May 24th, at 215 West Main Street.

After Seeing it's owners in period costume, guests are invited to learn more about the auto, the Lexington investors and the fate of the company. Owners Mr. & Mrs. Bill Baker of Nicholasville will join experts Richard Stanley and Bill Ambrose who have both published books on the Lexington.
