Lexington police are searching for a man who held up a bank on Friday afternoon.
Police say a man walked into the National City Bank on Tates Creek Road around 1:50 in the afternoon. Witnesses say he implied he had a gun and demanded money.
The suspect left the bank with cash. The getaway car is described as an early 1990's black or gray, 2-door Oldsmobile or Buick. The vehicle had red interior and damage to the roof. The license plate of the vehicle is believed to contain the partial digits of 000 or 006.
Police describe the robber as a black man in his mind 30's, standing about 5'6". At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black ball cap, sunglasses, a white t-shirt and dark jeans.
