Officials Make Record-Setting Pot Bust

Video will be available shortly

There was a huge pot bust on a Kentucky highway this week.

Officials with Kentucky Vehicle enforcement say it's their biggest ever.

Officers stopped a tractor-trailer on Interstate 65 near Bowling Green that was carrying 1400 pounds of marijuana. That's about 2.8 million dollars in street value.

The truck was stopped Sunday night for a safety inspection. It was headed from Houston to Cleveland.

Two men, 48-year-old Kermit Garriques, and 42-year-old Uriel Bell, were arrested and charged with marijuana trafficking and possession of narcotics. Both men are originally from Jamaica.

The previous top bust was in January of 2006 when officers hauled in 1380 pounds.
