Friends and family are still mourning the death of nine year-old Ambria Dunn, who police say was killed by her 12 year-old brother.
They all gathered on Saturday for one more chance to say goodbye to the young girl.
"We miss her very deeply, and we just need everyone's prayers," Bennie Bright, Ambria's aunt, said.
Her grandfather, Alvin Dunn, presided over Ambria's funeral. He never imagined he would say goodbye to her so young.
"It's very difficult to lose a family member. One that's only lived nine years, not even the bloom of life," Alvin Dunn said.
Her family will always remember Ambria for her big smile and warm heart.
"She's like a daughter. She was just so happy and fun loving and we really enjoyed her," Bright said.
"Sweet little girl, she loved to play and smile. Like any normal child, she loved her animals," Alvin Dunn said.
This was a difficult day, and the family misses Ambria very much. But they are thankful for the nine years they had with her.
"Because I know that in her young life, that she has come in contact with a lot of people. I know that she's in heaven, and that makes it so much easier," Alvin Dunn said.
"We've had nine years with her, and we're gonna cherish those nine years for the rest of our lives," Bright said.
It will be a tough holiday season, but her grandfather says he will never forget her big impact on their lives. Ambria Dunn was laid to rest in the Dunn Family Cemetary in Knox County.
