A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out for for much of northern and eastern Kentucky until 9 p.m. This is just east of the Lexington metro.
A new traffic signal at a busy central Kentucky intersection looks a little different than what drivers are used to.
The signal, at Highway 60 and Hanly Lane in Frankfort, includes a flashing yellow arrow.
When on, it means drivers can turn left, after yielding to oncoming traffic.
The change is designed to make left turns safer.
The new signal is among the first of its kind in Kentucky. Five more Frankfort intersections will get similar signals soon.
