Crime Stoppers: Gas Station Robbery

On September 10th, a little after 2:00 a.m., the Speedway at 2900 Richmond Road was robbed.

"A suspect approached the counter at Speedway and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When the cashier rang up the cigarettes, he said 'don't be funny, give me all your money", says Detective William Persley with the Lexington Police Department.

Police say after the clerk opened the register the suspect implied he had a weapon by sticking his hand in his pocket. The cashier then pushed the panic button and the suspect fled.

"He's a white male, about 40-50 years of age, about 6'1", 230 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a salt and pepper mustache, wearing a black hoodie and dark colored pants.
