The city of Georgetown is preparing for it's Christmas tree lighting and parade, but these festivities almost didn't happen because of Grinch.
Earlier this week when authorities were preparing to decorate they discovered the city's lights had disappeared. Dozens of workers searched everywhere but the lights were nowhere to be found.
Officials were faced with the decision to cancel Christmas, or buy new lights; so the city and county pooled their resources and replaced the lights.
Meanwhile news that the lights had been stolen swept the town like wildfire. Then in a turn of events no one expected the lights reappeared. Someone returned them to the city, by leaving them under a public works truck. Now, the city has two sets of lights.
