Home Invasion Suspect Back In Court

Video will be available shortly

The man accused of a violent home invasion in Georgetown and a two county police chase appeared in court Tuesday in Scott County.

Stanley Stander, Junior is accused of breaking into Ralph and Mattie Michaels' home, beating them, tying them up and stealing their car.

Tuesday in court, Stander's attorney entered a not guilty plea. He's charged with assault, burglary and robbery in Scott County.

Monday, he also pleaded not guilty to charges in Grant County in connection with a two county police chase that ended in a crash in Boone County, while driving the Michaels' car.

Stander entered the courtroom Tuesday, limping and holding his side. His family says he suffered abdominal injuries either during or prior to his arrest, but they wouldn't comment any further.

Stander is due back in court June 12th and he remains in the Scott County jail on 50 thousand dollars bond.

Mattie Michaels remains in serious condition at UK Hospital from injuries she received during last week's attack.
