Lexington man robbed while making bank deposit

Lexington Police are on the hunt for a suspect, who robbed a man, as he made a deposit at a bank.

It happened at the National City Bank, on Nicholasville Road and Zandale just before 9:15 Saturday night.

Police say the suspect walked up to the car, implying he had a weapon and demanded the money.

The thief got away with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot. At one point, police called out K-9 units and a helicopter out to search for the suspect. Police are now trying to see what area businesses may have surveillance video.

An ambulance was called for the victim, because he was shaken up. He wasn't hurt physically and is expected to do ok.

They say the suspect was wearing black sweatpants, a dark colored top and a black face mask.
