University Of Kentucky In Court To Gain Control Of Local Hospital

A Lexington hospital may soon change hands.

A report in the Lexington Herald-Leader says a hearing this afternoon could seal the deal for the University of Kentucky to take over Samaritan Hospital.

A U.S. bankruptcy judge gave tentative approval to the 13-million dollar deal yesterday.

If the agreement is approved, U.K. could take over operation of the facility tomorrow.
