Police Step Up Patrols In Lexington Neighborhood

Lexington police are stepping up patrol in an East Lexington neighborhood after a rash of car thefts and vandalism.

Thieves have hit in the Gleneagles subdivsion twice this week. At least five cars were stolen and several more were broken into.

Officers are now going door to door to let people know they're watching the area. Police are also stepping up patrols by cruisers and bicycles.

Police have interviewed some possible suspects, but so far they have made no arrests.

Police ask residents to report anything they see that is suspicous.
