Man who designed 'Ronald McDonald' dies

He spent his whole life trying to make others happy, but over the weekend a man who perfected the art of being a clown died.

Michael Polakovs is perhaps better known as 'Coco the Clown.'

He performed for years with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus.

He also helped form the Ringling Crother's Clown College.

Just last September he was presented with a lifetime achievement award.

In 1966, the McDonald's Corp. hired Polakovs to design Ronald McDonald.

He designed the outfit and makeup that is worn by the character to this day.

Polakov was 86 years old.
