Runway Improvements Proposed

The final report on the crash of Comair Flight 5191 due out next month will include new safety recommendations involving runway markings.

The head of the NTSB told a congressional committee yesterday about improving airport runway and taxiway markings. He did not go in to details about the improvements.

Flight 5191 crashed last August after taking off from the wrong runway at Blue Grass Airport.
49 people died, the co-pilot was the only survivor.
