Video will be available shortly

There's been an explosion at the Nestle Plant in Mt. Sterling. It happened around one Friday morning.

A Nestle spokesperson tells 27 NEWSFIRST an ammonia pressure vessel ruptured around 2:15. About 100 people were working third shift inside the plant at the time. The building was immediately evacuated.

Since the plant is in an industrial park, other businesses were evacuated as well.

Seven people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, treated and released. Emergency crews on the scene checked everyone who left the plant. We're told no one suffered serious injuries.

The explosion caused a wall collapse and an ammonia spill. Investigators are still looking into what may have caused the explosion.

Businesses in Woodland Industrial Park have now been given the all clear.

All shifts were cancelled at the plant Friday.

The plant makes Hot Pockets.
