Lexington Man In National Spotlight

Video will be available shortly

A Lexington man is in the national spotlight for his work with retired racehorses.

Michael Blowen runs a retirement home in Lexington for thoroughbreds called "Old Friends." His farm was featured during a report last night on the CBS evening news.

Blowen used to own and race horses, but now he's turned to helping them after seeing several horses sent to the slaughter house after they stopped making money. He says he has a lot of respect for the former champions.
