Now a Mercer County man knows how much time he'll spend behind bars.

A judge sentenced James Crews to fifty years in prison.

A jury found James crews guilty of killing Darrin Maddox during a robbery that happened two years ago in Harrodsburg. Maddox was a night watchman at a tobacco warehouse.

Crews claimed during the trial that five other men attacked him, and fired the shot that killed Maddox.

The victim's family says justice has been served.
