Jury recommends eight years for Pam Bartley

A Rowan County jury has found a Montgomery County woman guilty of second-degree manslaughter in the death of her husband.

The jury returned the verdict around 7:30 Thursday night.

The jury then went into the sentencing phase, when jurors recommended Pam Bartley spend eight years in prison.

She had been charged with murder in the 2007 shooting death of her husband, Carl.

He was found dead in the couple's Montgomery County home.

The trial was moved to Rowan County so an impartial jury could be seated.
