Father and son accused of trying to trade stolen lizard for alcohol

It's a bizarre case.

A father and son are accused of stealing a lizard, then trying to trade it for alcohol.

44-year-old David Martt and 18-year-old Harley Martt are charged with theft by unlawful taking.

Morehead Police say the men stole a bearded dragon from a veterinary hospital, then tried to get money for it at a pawn shop.

When that didn't work, police say the men went to a couple of liquor stores and tried to trade it for alcohol.

Police later arrested the men. The lizard is now being treated for hypothermia.
