18-year-old killed in Lexington crash

The bad weather could be to blame for a deadly crash early Sunday morning, in Lexington.

It happened on Russell Cave Road, near Dixiano Domino.

Authorities say 18-year-old Kevin Sipple was headed to work, when he lost control of a Dodge Ram pick-up truck he was driving.

The impact caused the truck to burst into flames.

Sipple was killed.

A reconstruction unit was on scene for much of the morning.

They determined speed and slippery road conditions were to blame for the crash.

Family members say Sipple was working as a groomer at an area horse farm to help support his family, after his father became ill and could no longer work.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
