Two Kentucky cities have been named on a study by
Allstate Insurance ranking the nation's safest cities based on
internal crash data over a two-year period.
Louisville was ranked third among cities with 500-thousand to
one (M) million residents. According to Allstate's study,
Louisville drivers average eleven-and-a-half years between crashes.
Lexington was number-seven on the list of most improved cities. The
time between crashes for Lexington drivers increased by
one-point-seven years.
The safest city is Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where drivers
average almost 14 years between crashes. Fort Collins, Colorado;
Flint, Michigan; Warren, Michigan; and Huntsville, Alabama, round
out the top five.
