6 bullets fired into popular convenience store

Knox County police are looking for a shooter they say took aim at the Tobacco Stop Outlet in Bimble, which is just outside Barbourville.
The bullets began flying shortly before 11:00 p.m. Monday night as one of the store employees was closing down. The store manager was told the shooter was likely crouched down in sniper position when the shots were fired. The employee inside the store ran for cover, called the police and was not harmed. However there were no other eyewitnesses, so the shooter got away without a trace.
Police believe the sniper fled on foot.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Knox County Sheriff's Department. You may submit tips anonymously.
