Kentuckian Dies In Fiery Wreck Near Nashville

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A Kentucky truck driver has been killed when his gasoline tanker rig collided with a dump truck northeast of Nashville.

The Tennessean (newspaper) identifies the victim as 21-year-old Robert Love of Park City. He worked for Franklin, Kentucky-based Key Oil Company and was taking a load of fuel to Gallatin, Tennessee for delivery.

Hendersonville, Tennessee police said it appeared the tractor-trailer ran into the rear of the dual-axle dump truck.

The dump truck driver survived the crash.

Both vehicles were destroyed by the fire, which closed Vietnam Veterans Boulevard for hours.
