Woman driven from gas station, then robbed at gunpoint

A woman says she was robbed by a gunpoint by two men she was just trying to help.

Lexington police say the victim told them the suspect approached her outside the Thornton's on Redding Road around 7 p.m. Wednesday, saying they needed some money.

Police say the woman got into the suspect's car so she wouldn't have to open her purse in plain view.

But, she says the door closed and the suspects drove off with her inside.

The victim was taken to the Pimlico Parkway area, where police say the suspects let her out after taking some money and possibly prescription drugs at gunpoint.

Police say the suspects were in a white SUV with tinted windows.
