Lawrenceburg Police say it started as a complaint in November after a mother discovered her 12-year-old son had received nude pictures of an older woman on his cell phone.
Police say the woman sending them was 37-year old Rachel Lawhon, who was taking pictures of herself in sexual acts, and encouraging him to send them back.
We're told Lawhon's daughter is friends with the 12-year old boy.
"The fact that she disseminated herself in a pornographic position and gave it to a minor, is something uncalled for," says Officer Nathan Doty, with Lawrenceburg Police.
We've learned Lawhon worked in the cafeteria at Robert B. Turner Elementary School in Anderson County, but police don't believe she used her place of employment for the crimes.
However, investigators say the severity of the crime is just the same.
"It takes all sorts of people that can be a predator," says Doty. "It can be anybody that lives next door to you or anybody down the street."
The 12-year old's mother found the pictures as part of a security function on her child's cell phone plan. All text and picture messages appeared on the account online.
Lawhon is facing a number of charges including promoting a sexual performance by a minor and distribution of obscene matter to a minor.
