Rounds of showers and storms continue to push across the region. Flash flooding is the main threat tonight into Wednesday.
Sixty-nine year old Eugene "Blue" Jones had lived his entire life on Upper Lick Fork in Rowan County. His family says he loved being that close to nature. They say more than likely he was going out to the woods to check on some traps he had set when the accident that took his life happened.
State Police say sometime Wednesday night or possibly this morning, Jones wrecked his pickup into a creek near his house. The truck overturned and the coroner says Jones drowned. A family member found him around eight this morning.
Now, the day before Christmas, his family has to plan a funeral for this beloved brother and uncle.
