Investigators are trying to figure out what started a fire that destroyed a family's barn.
It happened around 9:30 this morning on Poortown Road in Jessamine County.
Firefighters got there within ten minutes, but the barn was already fully engulfed and on the ground.
The heat from the fire was so intense it melted the siding on two nearby houses and the front of a car.
The owners run a mowing company and had a lot of their equipment stored inside.
The barn was built around 70 years ago.
