Man Killed In Fiery Crash

A man is dead, after being involved in a fiery crash on the Mountain Parkway in Powell County early Monday morning.

Kentucky State Police say Brandon Howell, 28, of McDowell over-corrected his 2000 GMC pickup, and flipped over the embankment in the westbound lanes.

After hitting a road sign, police say the pickup truck became engulfed in flames.

Howell was airlifted to UK Hospital, where he later died.

Police say he was the only one involved in the accident.
