Somerset plane incident

Federal investigators were in the area Sunday, trying to figure out why a plane skidded off a Kentucky runway.

The FAA is investigating the incident, which happened Saturday, at Lake Cumberland Regional Airport.

After sliding off the runway, the plane hit a fence.

Only the pilot, co-pilot and one passenger were aboard the plane, none of them were hurt.

Saturday, police said a mechanical problem with the nose gear might have caused the accident.
