Fire destroys two buildings in Downtown Liberty

A fire in Liberty, Kentucky engulfed several buildings in the downtown area Sunday morning.

The fire was discovered around 9 a.m.

The fire destroyed Sandy's Grill and King's Obsolete Parts, an automotive supply business.

Casey County's Family Support Office, located next door to Sandy's, has also received damage but it appears as if firefighters are able to save that building.

Personnel and equipment from all of the county's volunteer fire departments worked the fire in single-digit temperatures.

No word yet on what sparked the fire.
