Teenager Drowns In Southern Kentucky Lake

Video will be available shortly

A deadly day on the lake in southern Kentucky. A teenager drowned while swimming in Laurel County.

Search crews pulled the body of 17-year-old Booker T. Henson from Laurel Lake at around 4:30 Monday afternoon.

We're told Henson was swimming with a female friend in the Three Sisters area of the lake. That's near the KY 312 boat ramp. We're told he disappeared from sight around 12:30 in the afternoon and never resurfaced.

The Laurel County Coroner says he doesn't know why Henson went under, but ruled drowning as the official cause of death.

Henson would have been a senior next year at North Laurel High School.
