Couple Hospitalized After Early-Morning Home Invasion

Lexington Police searched for a man wanted for entering a couple's home with a gun early Tuesday and firing several shots.

It happened on Squires Road, in the Man O'War and Richmond Road area.

Police say the couple woke up to a man with a gun inside their bedroom, where he started firing several shots.

Police say the female resident hurt her ankle when she jumped out of a second-story window to escape.

The man inside the home went to the hospital for trauma.

Police say it appears the suspect got into the home through an unlocked door.

Police say the couple didn't know the suspect.
