Clerk injured trying to stop vodka thief

A liquor store clerk was hurt while trying to stop a vodka thief.

Police say a man walked into the Tates Creek Spirit Company, at Tates Creek Centre in Lexington Saturday, and tried to take off with four bottles of vodka.

When the clerk chased after him, police say the suspect threw two bottles at the clerk, and got away.

The bottles injured the clerk's wrist.

Police say the suspect drove off in a purple Dodge Neon. No arrests have been made.
