Monday morning, a man accused of pulling off three armed robberies while dressed as a woman made his first appearance in front of a judge.

Berea Police arrested Troy Lear, 40, of Brodhead on Friday.

He is suspected of holding up a branch of the Cumberland Valley National Bank, as well as a Richmond motel and a Danville check-cashing business.

In all cases, police say Lear wore a wig and makeup to try to conceal his identity.

Lear pleaded not guilty to two counts of robbery in a video arraignment. He's being held in the Madison county Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.

Lear will be back in court the morning of the 20th for a hearing.
