UPDATE: Father learns son is alive and well in Haiti
A father's nightmare has come to an end. A Hatian native staying in Kentucky received news Friday that his 12-year old son is alive.

A father's nightmare has come to an end.
A Hatian native staying in Kentucky received news Friday that his 12-year old son is alive.
Chourbert Remy and his wife came to Kentucky for a Christmas visit to their daughters. Both attend school in the US.
Their son, Mikael, stayed behind in Haiti with friends.
Since the quake, Remy has had no contact with his son until this morning.
Family members were able to contact Remy and give him the news that all of his family, his church members and son are alive and well.

After the news of the earthquake one of the first people I thought of was Chubert because years ago I attended Kentucky Christian College and EKU with him. I so very glad he received the good news about his son and Church family. Your friend in Christ, Greg

When I was younger, I attended a church camp in Falmouth, KY called Northward Christian Assembly. While there one week, we had a missionary from Haiti and it was Choubert Remy. I was astonished, but also heartbroken to hear about Choubert being in KY and about his son missing. He was an amazing man 20 years ago and I am sure that he is that same cheerful man I once remembered. Praise be to God that his son, family, and church family back in Haiti are fine. Continue to pray for the many others there. May God bless them all!
