General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
A man standing outside a Paris store was shot in the hip and police believe it was gang related.
20-year old John Stanley was shot while outside Oliver gorcery on 7th and Williams around 4:30pm Monday afternoon.
Stanley was taken to UK hospital where he was treated and released.
Paris police say no one in the area of the shooting or the victim would give any information to officers on the scene.
Police say they have had gun violence in the area over the past several months and attribute that to gangs that have moved into the area from Cleveland, OH. Stanley is originally from there.
Lt. Mike Dempsey calls the shooting a "message." "They're not trying to kill anyone, just send a message."
Late Monday night, Paris police said they had a person of interest in the shooting.
