Lexington restaurant helps 'Hoops for Haiti'

A popular Lexington restaurant decided to open its doors, and give the proceeds to 'Hoops for Haiti' and the Red Cross.

Murray's, on Harrodsburg Road, served dinner from five to nine Monday night.

Except for some labor costs, all of the money from customers' bills went to the relief effort.

Many customers added extra money to their bill for the relief effort, including one customer who added $1,000.

In all, the event brought in $75,000 for 'Hoops for Haiti.'
