Bus Crash Victims Released From Hospital

Two people injured in a fatal bus crash near Bowling Green have been released from a southern Kentucky hospital, while eleven others remain under medical supervision.

The two, whose identities were not released, were at The Medical
Center in Bowling Green, where seven people remain "stable" and
one is listed in good condition.

Seven-year-old Kayalon Jackson remains in critical condition Wednesday at Vanderbilt University Children's Hospital in Nashville.

Spokesman Jerry Jones says two other passengers are "stable."

The bus crashed early Monday on Interstate 65. State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that the cause of the crash was the driver falling asleep. The bus hit an overpass support just south of the Cumberland Parkway.

The bus driver, 63-year-old Abraham Parker of Birmingham, Alabama, died yesterday at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Seventy-one-year-old Carrie Walton, of Forkland, Alabama, died at the scene.
