Crime Stoppers: Composite sketch released in Waffle House robbery

A little before 6 p.m. on November 22nd, someone robbed the McDonald's on Family Circle on Lexington.

"He implied he had a weapon but no one saw that weapon", says Detective Elizabeth Adams with Lexington Police.

Less than two hours later the Waffle House on Richmond Road was robbed.

"The man waits his turn and then when he gets up to the woman check people out he tells her to ring up a sale. When she does that he grabs the money", says Detective Adams.

Police are now releasing a sketch of the suspect from the Waffle House robber. They say he had reddish-brown hair, was unshaven, and was wearing a ball cap.

"One of the patrons described it as a painting hat", says Detective Adams.

He could be connected to both restaurant robberies from that day.
