Semi Catches Fire On I-75

Video will be available shortly

A truck driver's cab goes up in flames while on the road.

The driver says that he heard a loud explosion, followed by billowing smoke and a big ball of flames.

The driver was able to pull over to the side of the road and was assisted by another driver who had pulled over to help.

The two drivers tried to put out the fire themselves before police and fire units arrived on scene.

It took several fire engines working together to finally extinguish the flames and clear the smoke, leaving the cab unrecognizable.

The driver was able to escape without injury.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
