Parents file lawsuit against Lexington daycare

They say their infant was given medicine, without their permission.

So a couple is now suing a Lexington church's daycare, claiming what its employees did was negligent and dangerous.

Paul and Sara Felice filed the suit Thursday against Southern Hills United Methodist Church, Inc.

The church operates the Southern Hills Early Childhood Program on Harrodsburg Road.

The Felices claim employees at the daycare gave their infant son Orajel and acetaminophen, without their permission.

In the lawsuit, the couple claims giving their child that particular medicine was dangerous, and could have negatively affected the child's health.

They're seeking $25,000 in the lawsuit.

The church did not comment about the lawsuit to 27 NEWSFIRST.

The Southern Hills Early Childhood Program serves children between six weeks old and 12 years old.
