A Clark County man who was watching his niece when she fell into a pot of boiling water plead guilty to wanton endangerment Thursday. Despite his admission of guilt, Mark Campbell said the incident was a terrible accident. Police arrested Campbell in March when the 14-month-old tripped in a cord and fell into the pot. She suffered third degree burns. Campbell will now spend a year in jail.
