Chevy Chase Historic Status Defeated

After a tense meeting that went into the early morning hours, the Urban County Council decided not to give a Lexington neighborhood historic status.

The debate centered on the Hollywood Terrace in the Chevy Chase area.

Some people living in the neighborhood didn't want an H-1 zoning because that would require them to get approval from a board to make any changes to their homes.

The zoning issue can be brought back up at anytime.
